Meet Sarah

Hello friends, my name is Sarah and I am the founder of MirrorBox Life School, a place for learning to love, heal, and create with higher intelligence. I will be adding to this page and the website throughout this season of Fall 2026, but here is a bit of context to start with!

One of my brother’s recently said of our children - the cousins, “They need something big”. I wholeheartedly agree. This school, my audacious vision to create a school of learning to love, is for them. Not because the school will be their something big – it’s my something big – my healing, my passion, my integration, but I pray the structure will facilitate the discovery of their own something big. A framework of learning how to love, how to practically apply loving principles and engage all that is good in life; a learning environment with overwhelming support and evidence that something big and loving and intelligent can flow through them into healing and creation. 

MirrorBox Life School is the school I currently need to continue to learn, grow and integrate, and it is the school I needed like a not single day later than high school graduation. I am building this school not because I want to teach all the answers, I want to gather around this curriculum seeded with loving, intelligent questions.  I’m keeping a tried-and-true method of Divine connection and self-discovery that my parents taught me: ask, seek, knock, and I’m inviting the generational participation of them and my children -there is real power in doing this work together as immediate and generational family.

Thirteen years ago (Sept.2013), I had an incredible Divinely inspired vision of a whole-person healing place. I had just seen the brilliant V.S. Ramachandran demonstrate his mirror box tool for healing phantom limb pain. Brilliant! I jumped off the couch, cheese puffs fell to the floor, and I started jumping and asking God, “how can I build that for whole-person healing?!” (Thank you, V.S. Ramachandran) 

I have since interacted with this healing place as an inner framework and reflection of our immense human capacity for loving intelligence. The inner reflection and identity model mirror the brick-and-mortar blueprint for the MirrorBox Life School. (plus more juicy info about mirror neurons and the observer effect to follow)

The Head. Intelligence with eight perspectives. The basic framework is built with spaciousness to learn in all eight of the Multiple Intelligences; many intelligences include many different perspectives, interpretations, and practical ways that we engage with the Divine, ourselves and others. The M.I.’s, aka frames of mind, are intrapersonal intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, linguistic intelligence, naturalistic intelligence, musical intelligence, kinesthetic intelligence, visual/spatial/mechanical intelligence, and mathematical/logical intelligence. (I like to think they each have a unique corresponding language – like when my husband speaks baseball math and music theory to me). 

The Heart. Love with twelve expressions. The curriculum is centered around an audacious goal of learning how to love. Because we have only one word for love, I’m drawing it out into twelve distinct facets, expressions and contexts of love: joy, peace, patience, kindness, empathy, integrity, trust, self-determination, hope, courage, forgiveness, and gratitude. From each of the eight M.I. perspectives, we will ask and seek and knock upon the door love at these twelve nodes. As we ask and seek and knock, we inevitably encounter the shadows and opposites of these twelve facets; that’s when we get ready for the Divine knock upon our own heart in the rooms we are ready for deep healing work. 

The Womb. Creative wisdom across geography and generations. When we cross reference our eight Multiple Intellegences with our twelve drawn out expressions of love, we gather 96 starting questions - Divine conversation starters, if you will. From these points, we will then look to the wisdom in our human history, beginning with our own family history (if it feels safe and accessible) or choosing a featured time or people in history/currently who are demonstrating what could be considered loving intelligence, or intelligent love. 

Our curriculum is then guided by questions like, "God, Divine essence, Universe, can you show me a reflection of how nature demonstrates patience? Can you guide me to a time in history, or a current group of people who are demonstrating empathy through visual/spatial awareness and intelligence? May I see a reflection of how my own family has demonstrated forgiveness through interpersonal intelligence? Can you remind me of a time when I physically demonstrated courage and hope?"

Our counsel is seeded in the questions we ask.
